Microscopic Sea lice are invading the Gulf Coast beaches. Anyone near the infected area with raised purple flags are at risk.
Impossible to spot in the water, these Sea lice are actually the larvae of Jellyfish. Even though they are tiny they still have the same stinging cells as full grown jelly fish, and they do leave a mark/rash. The rash is called sunbathers eruption and because it essentially is a jelly fish sting sunbathers eruption should be treated like a jellyfish sting.
