3 Drownings in 3 area counties and 1 still missing

Getting out to the beach and having fun in the water is what summer is all about, especially here on the Gulf Coast! Sadly (and unfortunately) this doesn’t always happen. Check the area swim flags so that you know what the conditions are before you go into the water, be sure you know what to do when and if you get caught in dangerous rip currents, and always swim with a buddy. Learn more about the flag colors, swim safety, and rip currents HERE.

From the NWFL Daily News:

“There were at least 22 rescues Tuesday and Wednesday between Navarre and Miramar Beach, 16 of which were in Walton County. A 14-year-old boy was pulled from the water in the same location behind Whale’s Tale an hour and a half before the four swimmers went missing Tuesday.”

Stay safe.
