According to his sister, Tyka Nelson, Prince left no will when he died suddenly last week at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota. She files documents today in probate court that said, “The Decedent died intestate,” and she is petitioning for the appointment of a special administrator to deal with the estate, which has been reported to be valued at as much as $300 million.
According to the petition, Prince left no surviving spouse, no children and no parents. Besides Nelson, his full sister, he is survived by half-brothers and half-sisters and their children, whom Nelson names in her petition.
