We have our 4th of July and the French have Bastille Day. On July 14th, 1789, this date marked the beginning of republican democracy and the end of tyrannical rule. Today, as the French celebrated with fireworks, a horrible scene unfolded in the streets in the City of Nice as a truck packed with weapons and grenades rammed through a crowd of people along the Promenade Des Anglais. Reports have more than 70 killed and hundreds injured.
